Hackers stole my banking details from a coffee shop WiFi — don’t make my mistake
I was working at a café last week, connected to their free WiFi, and two days later my bank called about suspicious transactions. Turns out, someone had been running a man-in-the-middle attack and captured my login info.
The bank refunded me, but if I had been using my crypto wallet or email, I’d probably have lost everything. Other than “never use public WiFi,” is there a solid way to protect yourself? Do VPNs and security tools really help, or is that just marketing?
